You may not know this about me but I am a huge fan of the Clarice Bean books, by Lauren Child. Her latest book, RUBY REDFORT, LOOK INTO MY EYES, is also on this list. I'm reading it right now. In case you don't know, Clarice Bean reads the Ruby Redfort books, and finally, after many years of waiting, Ms. Child has written the first of these books so we can learn all about Ruby Redfort, who is a genius kid spy and master detective! I think my favorite thing about the book is, when you take the cover off, you'll find a bright green fly embossed on the front. It's so completely perfect!
