Cybils, 2012 Children's and Young Adults Bloggers Literary Awards

Every once in a while something happens that is unexpected, something so very nice that it makes my day, and I find I want to thank this person who is named Sarah, an elementary school librarian, who has a blog named http://pageintraining.wordpress.com/about/  Without my knowing, Sarah nominated A DIAMOND IN THE DESERT for the 2012 Cybils Awards.  There are always a lot of books that are nominated, and this is because there are so many wonderfully written middle grade books.  I have to admit that I am very honored to be listed alongside these books.

But I want to thank her, this Sarah.  I want to tell her how much it meant to me to have her nominate my second middle grade novel.  I hope she knows how it made me smile.
